Career plans: A career in construction

Plans after graduation: This summer Barni will be attending a training program on construction. After that she has plans to find an internship or apprenticeship in construction.

Plans after graduation: An internship with Hunt Electric as an electrical helper.

The most important lessons learned from Lake Street Works: The lessons he learned from the instructors and the encouragement he received from the guest speakers.

Graduating from: Heritage Academy

Career plans: A career in construction

Plans after graduation: This summer, Hassan will start an internship with Egan doing pressure washing and in the fall will be attending MCTC.

Graduating from: Richfield High School

Career plans: A career in construction

Plans after graduation: A summer internship with Hunt Electric as an electrical helper and using the contacts he has made through Lake Street Works to get an apprenticeship.

Graduating from: Edison High School

Career plans: A career as a Journeyman Electrician

Plans after graduation: Participating in Dunwoody’s Pathway’s to Careers program and has an internship with Hunt as an electrical helper. In the fall he will be starting a two year electrical training program at Dunwoody.

The most important lesson he learned from Lake Street Works: That building relationships is important to developing your career path.

Career plans: A career as a plumber

Plans after graduation: Applying to technical schools and starting an internship with Egan doing pressure washing.

Favorite experiences with Lake Street Works: Field trips to actual job sites to explore different parts of what professionals do on the job.
